The 2014 Pushcart Prize Anthology Is on the Shelves

I’ll admit I’ve had two very good days. Yesterday I got my copy of the 2014 Pushcart Prize Anthology with my memoir, “Touch,” inside. This morning I found out that Kirkus had reviewed the anthology and found my piece to be one of the “standouts.” They even quoted a line from it.

I’ve had good days before, as well as very long patches of desert. I’m going to enjoy this, but make sure tomorrow I turn my sights back to what’s most real—the work, the moment-to-moment and day-to-day engagement with the story at hand.
