Once I receive your manuscript I will read it through once making general notes and basic line edits, then read it a second time taking much more detailed notes. Afterward I will compile my notes, examining the elements (narrative structure, character arcs, etc.), of your manuscript and how effectively they’re working, then write you an extensive document analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of your piece and recommending actions to improve it. This is a very time-consuming process. It is designed for writers who either don’t need, or don’t want to pay for, extensive line edits, though as I mentioned, basic line edits are included.
For this service I charge $5 per page for the first twenty pages, $4 for every page afterward.
If on top of the manuscript analysis you would like me to make extensive line edits, the fee is $5 per page.
For a full copy edit, the fee is $6 per page.
For a proofread only, I charge $35 an hour.
